About Stichting Afro Dutch
The Afro-Dutch Society is a humanitarian and non-profitable organization with devoted members from diverse cultural backgrounds. Among our core values is to promote inter-cultural exchanges between Africans and the Dutch community so as to create a better and more peaceful co-existence through intercultural understanding and respect.
Stichting Afro-Dutch is officially registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce(KvK) with registration number KvK 65914937 and Present Head Office in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
OUR MISISON
Our mission is to provide, inter alia, a continuum of common based activities that will support the efforts of children, women and artists to showcase their hidden potentials and individual talents in a conducive environment that will enhance unity, harmony and social cohesion all within the legal framework of Dutch policy.
The welfare of our community, the notion of strong community building, solidarity and social justice is and will ever remain the ‘mantra’ of this noble organization.
OUR AIMS & OBJECTIVES
- To promote inter-cultural exchanges between Africans and the Dutch community so as to create a better and more peaceful co-existence through intercultural understanding and respect.
- To support and enhance quality basic education for children in Africa in order to reduce poverty and more especially to promote gender equality by encouraging and supporting the education of girls in the less advantaged homes.
- To create relevant developmental programs geared towards the structural development of African countries.
- By liaising with other organizations both within and outside of Africa that are involved in developmental projects.
- To help, support the integration process of Africans in The Netherlands
OUR KEY APPROACH TO HELP, SUPPORT THE INTEGRATION PROCESS OF AFRICANS IN THE NETHERLANDS
BUILDING HEALTHY COMMUNITY
We provide coaching and educative sessions for Sierra Leoneans and other African immigrates about Dutch laws and values so as to enable them to be law abiding and good citizens thereby enabling them to contribute positively to a healthy community building. This will believe will help in the reintegration process in the Dutch Community
PROVISION OF RELEVANT STUDYING INFORMATION
Provision of relevant information to Sierra Leonean’s studying or intending to study in the Netherlands this would include among others, information relating to study and sponsorship and equally cultural and social aspects that are of great importance for Africa in general.
PROMOTE TALENTS & CREATE OPPORTUNITIES
We help facilitate the promotion of talent and create opportunities for Africans especially Sierra Leonean youths and women to discover their talents and hidden potentials through workshops, training and a platform in the case of Artists caterers, and sport enthusiasts during our annual summer event commonly known as Afro-Dutch Free BBQ outing
SOCIAL & EDUCATIONAL EXCHANGING
By cooperating with various institutions and organizations in exchanging social, educational and cultural aspects which could stimulate the growth of social science and mutual understanding
